"It's an attractive setting for any wedding, and inside a location near to our hearts. We visit Dartmoor National Park annually in the summertime. We loved the naturalness of the venue and premises; the flow from the river just footsteps in the main venue was this is the cherry on top of the cake."

Neither Cassie nor Thomas particularly wants to be the center of attention, nor did they ever envisage a large wedding. Once their daughter was created, however, it felt vital that they formally be a family, which was once they began to investigate smaller, elopement ceremonies.

Thomas wore an environmentally friendly tweed jacket and waistcoat, with super-stylish velvet detailing around the jacket lapel, perfectly coordinating together with his burgundy chinos He also wore a shirt, brown suede Chelsea boots, along with a bow tie, that was his dad's, worn on his big day.

Cassie and Thomas' lovely young girls wore blush flower girl dresses, complete having a pretty bow, and shoes.

"Normally the father from the bride holds you up as you walk on the aisle, but my poor dad’s knees went a couple of weeks before the wedding, so I was holding him up! My dad, the fighter, still was able to take me on the aisle to Thomas and our young girl in his arms. We walked in a string quartet tribute to Lady Antebellum's Need You Now."

"Thomas and I met within our late teens and were friends for a few years before ever dating. Thomas was built with a bet having a friend (a pint I must add!) he'd take me on the date (that they won after many years of trying – I didn't get the signs he liked me like this). It's strange as my dad was built with a bet he'd obtain a date with my mum, plus they ended up being married for 39 years before she unexpectedly died."

The couple dated for a few years before going their separate ways, rekindling their friendship, after which relationship, 3 years later.

"Unbeknownst to me within the early many years of us dating, Thomas experienced anxiety, which may have played a part within our 'downs' like a couple. Understanding each other is so essential to becoming life partners. Meeting for any second time, both of us had grown, learned many life lessons, and knew precisely what we wanted from the relationship and life."

Thomas' dad, Bill, read an extract in the book Les Miserables, by Victor Hugo – being additionally a favorite musical of his, that they have seen many times together with his children, including Thomas and Cassie for his or her respective birthdays not too long ago.

"Clare is amazing. Both Thomas and I hate our photos being taken, but she is this type of lovely person. She put us immediately comfortable. She knows just how to capture the very best and different kinds of shots that capture the feeling around the day. We regularly consider the photos also it just takes us straight back towards the magic felt around the day."

In preserving their low-key elopement, Cassie and Thomas opted not to possess entertainment, or perhaps a first dance, but to round off their wonderful day, they enjoyed a dance using their parents.

"Becoming married was our favorite part of the day. We both might have loved some of our closest family members there, however, it wouldn’t have fit with this decision to elope, and also the day dynamics might have changed with increased people, therefore we had our 5 closest people, which made your day very special. The venue choice made your day so memorable."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"You're never going to please everyone with regards to organizing the wedding, but so long as you stay true to that which you really want, and therefore are sensitive to people who may not much like your choices, they'll eventually understand and adore you enough not to hold it against you forever."

"Remember your day is whatever matches your needs. The little things may go through like the big things during the time of planning, but when something goes slightly differently, you won't even notice around the day."
