Starting today, the New World team will officially begin the great February bug hunt. It's more of a cleanup than an event, which is currently underway and will end tomorrow at 7 pm. Eastern / 4 p.m. Pacific to find any bugs that are not currently documented for the team to work on.

This "hunt" will let players submit bug reports based on any issues they find. If the team can replicate these bugs and add them to their list of issues to fix, those players who report them will receive special recognition on the forums. If you want to participate, you can submit your bug report on a special forum thread. The latest update to New World is focused on fixing bugs, addressing player concerns, and fixing some of the issues that popped up in previous updates. The team has openly discussed the difficulties caused by some of the previous updates, as well as some changes that were impacted by including some old code in the final release.

If you are interested in helping the community and development team, you can log in and see what you can find. If you've been playing the game lately and you've had some issues bothering you, now is the time to bring them to your attention. The team will also confirm and publish a list of known bugs reported by the community, so you know what's on their list to continue working on.

On a related note, a previous loophole, which affected home taxes this month, was compensated. February 3-13, for those who find their taxes shortfall due to buf impacting income, the February update will leave a compensation amount in your corporate wallet. As a sign of thanks and apology, the reward amount will be slightly higher than what you lost.
