Some photosynthate accumulation by excised leaves of Datura stramonium during successive exposures to red light.
In Datura stramonium the quantum energy per absorbed photon was taken up much more rapidly in excised leaves than in intact plants. As successive cycles of red light exposures of leaves failed to accumulate photosynthate, there appears to be an adaptation that allows tolerance of prolonged exposure to excess red energy in leaves. As more incident red light is offered to 50e0806aeb mygebre
